Our blend of expertise, Savoie milk and rigorously-selected fruits were soon to make Savoie Yaourt products a popular choice. In the 1960s, as the Alps began to attract an ever-growing number of tourists, Savoie Yaourt decided to sell its products in nearby ski resorts. Our Alpine specialities proved to be a great success with consumers all over France.
The Savoie Yaourt brand continued to develop and, in 1996, moved to a new 18,000 m² site. Following the takeover in 2003 by Fruité Entreprises, a company specialising in fruit juices, Savoie Yaourt entered the children's market in the ultra-fresh sector via the Fruité brand, introducing the first yogurt in pouches. It was a great success!
In 2009, Savoie Yaourt launched a new range of organic yogurts comprising 7 tasty, authentic and natural flavours. Organic yogurts, good for the whole family!
In September 2009, Savoie Yaourt was taken over by the Alsace Lait cooperative, the last of the independent dairy cooperatives in Eastern France. The company specialises in fromage frais, milk and fresh cream, so their expertise is the perfect complement to Savoie Yaourt products.
Today 45 members of staff produce and sell quality products under HACCP and ISO 9001 2008 version certifications.
